Meet the Management Team

Hello!  I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1993.  I have enjoyed experiences working at a variety of licensed Childcare Centres across Southern Manitoba as a CCA, ECE, as well as a Director.  I was also fortunate enough to spend a brief term as Childcare Coordinator for Family Services, during which time I was able to visit many quality licensed centres and staff in the region and learn a great deal about licensing standards.  
I spent five years working with the Western School Division as Coordinator of their Child Development Centre, and of the Morden Parent and Child Resource Centre.  It is an exciting time to be part of this young and vibrant Childcare Centre, and I look forward to discovering more about the field of Early Childhood Education through my work with this wonderful team of professionals.  Feel free to stop in or give me a call if you have any questions about the Centre or if you’d like to get to know me a little better!

Hi there!! My name is Diane Toews. I am a wife to Conrad and a mom to three daughters and one son.
I am certified as an ECEII and am working towards my level III with a focus on Early Childhood Program Management. I have worked in the Early Learning field for around 15 years. Much of my most recent childcare experience has been working with newcomer children and their families. I love spending time with family, growing plants, going for walks, camping and a little bit of crocheting. I am so excited to have the privilege of joining the team at Northland and Pine Ridge Child Care and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. Hello, my name is Adam. I have worked in child care since 2007. I graduated from Red River College in 2011 with my ECE II and finished my ECE III with Assiniboine Community College in spring of 2023. In my spare time I love gardening with my wife, playing with our cats and reading. Stop by the office anytime if you have any questions, or just to say hi, it would be great to meet you!

Board of Director Positions

  • Chairperson – The Chairperson shall:

        • be the chief executive officer of the Organization;
        • if present, preside at all meetings of the Board;
        • subject to the control, supervision and direction of the Board, have general control and supervision of the affairs of the Organization;
        • together with the Executor Director, represent the Organization in the community and be responsible for media communication;
        • provide the primary contact for the Board with the Executive Director, chair, of the committee negotiating compensation and benefits package and evaluation of the Executor Director.

    9.05 Treasurer  – The Treasurer shall:

        • manage the board’s review of, and action related to, the Board’s financial responsibilities.  The Treasurer may work directly with the Executive Director in developing and implementing financial procedures and systems; and
        • ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board and regularly report to the Board on key financial events, trends, concerns and assessment of fiscal health.

    9.06 Vice-Chairperson – The Vice-chairperson shall assume the responsibilities of the Chairperson should the Chairperson be unable or unavailable to carry out his duties and responsibilities.

    9.07 Secretary – The Secretary shall:

        • attend all Board meetings and act as secretary thereof and record all votes and minutes of all proceedings in the books to be kept for that purpose.
        • give or cause to be given notice of all meetings of the Board;
        • be custodian of the seal of the Organization, if any.

    9.08 Other Officers – The duties of all other officers of the Organization shall be such as the terms of their engagement call for or the Board requires of them.
